SPACESHIP
A Night of Relating, Risk and Connection
Spaceship is a relational game that uses sentence stems to blast a group off into outer space (i.e. strange and mysterious zones of connection). The game begins with a simple sentence stem “I want ____” as we go around in a circle and each person speaks aloud this sentence filling in the blank of what they want. Very quickly more sentence stems are added and you are invited to go into personas or speak with “honesty” to anyone in the circle. Eventually we find ourselves in a social setting where the rules of connection afford radical creativity and authenticity.
The workshop will begin with check ins and agreements. We’ll then warmup using a few authentic relating games, and proceed to a full group spaceship. We close with reflection and integration.
This work is great for anyone who wants to experience a single evening experience of risk taking with others - you can play with how you show up, who you are tonight, what you reveal.
Logistics:
There will be three upcoming events, and you can come to one or all: Monday April 27, Tuesday April 28, and Monday May 4. Each meeting happens from 7-9 pm at The Balance Arts Center, 151 W 30th St 3rd floor.
I take most insurance plans for the work, so feel free to inquire. Without insurance, the evening event costs $50.
